Maps of Logan County, KY


The 1877 ATLAS OF LOGAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY is available from the Logan County, KY, Genealogical Society, Inc., P. O. Box 853, Russellville, KY 42276-0853. This is a reproduction of the 1877 subscription atlas. It includes a synopsis of the early history of the county, a business directory, a patrons directory which gives nativity, business, and year of emigration of over 300 businessmen, and 10 sectional maps of the county showing locations and acreage of men who paid to be included in the book. A full name index of every person listed on lists or on maps is included. Full size maps are on display in the Logan County, KY, Archives, West 4th Street, Russellville, KY 42276 and at the Logan County Public Library, 201 West 6th Street, Russellville, KY 42276.

Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps of Russellville, Adairville, and Auburn are on display at the Logan County Archives. These and others from various years are on microfilm in the Logan Co., KY, Public Library. Detailed diagrams of the towns, the major type businesses in each location, and pertinent fire prevention and fighting resources are listed. The library has microfilm with diagrams for 1886, 1892, 1897, 1902, 1923, and 1939, Russellville being the only town mapped each of these years, Adairville and Auburn mapped some of these years.
